Art for the Soul, a community where creativity and compassion connect to cultivate self-expression through art education and artistic diversity.

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.

Pablo Picasso

Our Story

In 2010, a dream took root—an aspiration to create a sanctuary where creativity and compassion intertwine, where art becomes a language of healing and self-expression. This dream has now blossomed into Art for the Soul, a vibrant community hub dedicated to nurturing artistic diversity through education.

Formerly known as Art Beachside, Art for the Soul has evolved into a faith based nonprofit studio with a profound mission: to enrich the lives of our community's residents and visitors alike. Our studio is not just a place, but a haven where the transformative power of art meets the joy of human connection.

Our journey from dream to reality culminated in 2024, marking a milestone in our commitment to fostering healing experiences through art. As we embark on this new chapter, we remain steadfast in our belief that every stroke of paint, every sculpture, every artistic endeavor has the potential to touch hearts, inspire minds, and transform lives.

Join us at Art for the Soul, where art tells a story, and every artist finds a home. Together, let us continue to weave a tapestry of compassion, creativity, and community for years to come.

For He satisfeith the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

-Psalms 107:9

June

Founder / Executive Director

June’s journey into art began in Japan, where limited resources made traditional supplies a luxury. She improvised with scavenged materials, learning that true art is about soul expression, not the materials used. This insight led to the creation of Art for the Soul.

With experience in the architectural and construction industries, June insures Art for the Soul is not just a place for creating art, but a thoughtfully designed environment that nurtures creativity and well-being.

Elaine Yablonski's first love of art is theatre. She was on the board for a session at her hometown stage many years ago but felt the call of community service when her in-laws told her of an open secretarial seat on the Art for the Soul board. Elaine works in Public Safety software and is on the road frequently, and you never know where she's going next.
